Dear bigots, phobes and assorted hate crimers,

I hope you fatted your livers over the festive period, and that you are now staring at the dawning New Year with a frosty glint and a renewed determination to become lean, mean, reality defending machines.

I set-up this Substack in early 2022, following the closure of online magazine Lesbian and Gay News (the archive of my writing for the site is here). I intended to use posts to report on stories of interest to same-sex attracted people, but mindful both of Substack saturation and the need to earn a living I let it drop. Now, I’ve decided to pick it up once more as part of my resolution to write a book over the course of the next twelve months. When I complete a chapter, I’ll precis it in posts here for subscribers.

I won’t waste time explaining why sex is real, nor why it can’t be meaningfully changed. I will refuse to pussy foot around preferred pronouns, and I will not apologise for causing offence. Instead, my focus will be on how transgenderism has come to colonise the minds of otherwise rational people, and the bodies of otherwise worthy institutions.

Meanwhile, I hope to continue to write for Spiked, Unherd, The Critic, Telegraph, The Times, Cap X, 4WPub and whichever other publications offer me commissions. I know I will be busy. Here in the UK, opposing sides in the TERF wars are limbering up to face off at the Supreme Court. The use of Section 35 of the Scotland Act could see Holyrood and Westminster battling it out to determine whether self-identification can be passed in Scotland without impacting on the rest of the UK. Intense focus on Scotland, where the Paedophile Information Exchange was first active, seems likely to bring into the light stories that have been festering in the shadows for decades.

I am hoping that by publicly stating that it’s my intention to write a book, subscribers and supporters will give me an encouraging kick if I lose momentum.

Here’s hoping 2023 will herald a victory for us hags, harpies and heretics.
